Hi everyone, thanks in advance for help. New to mac (macbook). One thing i've noticed, and been frustrated by, is lack of updated drivers for certain products and max os x 10.6. Maybe i'm wrong/ignorant, but, it seems there is no driver for Adobe Acrobat Reader that will install it on a 10.6?
Is that possible (seems hard to believe). I know the mac can read pdf's on it's own but i have a specific need for acrobat reader. Also, i own the not so great Belkin F5L009 and can't get the drivers to install on this machine. Belkin's site says, something like, here's a driver for mac os x 10.1-10.3 and another for 10.3-10.57 or something. But nothing for 10.6 and i suspect thats why it cant install? I suspect both adobe and belkin will make it easy and obvious how to get these products working soon, just a little surprised they don't get that done before the release of the OS. I bought the macbook on labor day and it came with the snow leopard cd.
Another issue i just thought if is getting the windows media files to play. For example, avi files.
I followed the link to microsoft and believe i downloaded and installed the correct codecs but no luck. Could also use some help with that. Thanks for your help i'm sure i'll think of more to ask but these are my pressing two issues. Thanks ayeying, this is the link for the belkin drivers- i did try to install but get an error during installation which im assuming has to do with os incompatibility. When i download acrobat reader for mac/intel 10.5.7 here it wont let me install the install pkg after it automatically unzips using stuffit expander. Is there a better unzip program than stuffit expander?
And another problem i'm having is i can't get flip4mac to install. It finishes it's installation automated part fine but i can't get an.avi to play. Also tried doubleclicking on flip4macwmvplugin.plugin and when i do that i get the error 'quick time must be installed' but quick time is installed. Strange, to me.
