Find/replace In Word For Mac 2008
When I write bridge articles I use shortcut keys to insert the four card symbols (clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades). Those symbols are all black. I want to change the colour of diamonds and hearts to red. In my 'old' version of Word for Mac (2008) this is easy to be done in advanced find and replace.
I am using microsoft word 2008 on my macbook air and it crashes frequently when I use the find and replace and now when I try and cut and paste a paragraph. I note that this is a widespread problem posted on the internet. Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: intel. I need an applescript that will let me find and replace specific formatting within one or more documents. For example, in some I want to find all single underlining and replace that with italics. In Word 2008 for Mac, you’re not limited to making word replacements when you use Find and Replace. You can make formatting changes as well, saving you time. For example, if you want to search for a certain word and make it appear in bold and italic text, you can easily do one search to make the change throughout the document. The Replace text can be anything you want, from an actual word to an abbreviation, to random letters. The With can also be anything, from a single word to a multi-paragraph block of text.
You select the diamond sysbol, cntr-c, then select the find box and cntr-v. And change the format. In my new Word version (2016, just installed) the cntr-c seems to work but the cntr-v does not. I can't get the diamond symbol in the find box.
I searched the web for a couple of hours to hope for help but no succes. Is there anyone that can help me? Best regards, Ray Staller. Hi Ray, I test with Word for Mac 15.41, 16.16, 16.17. Mac os x download free. For the heart symbol, I'm able to replace it to red. After pasting, it shows? Mark in the Find box. Alternative to microsoft publisher for mac.
For the diamond symbol, it looks like a dot as you mentioned after pasting to Find box. It cannot find other diamond symbols when I want to replace them.
In this situation, I suggest you click the smile button at the right-top of Word window, directly submit the feedback to our related team. The Automator integration with Word 2008 is very useful, but I've discovered a snag I'd like to find a workaround for. I'm using Mac OS 10.5.5. I want to find and replace all the text in Word documents I create, including the footnotes, headers, and footers, but the 'Find and Replace Text in Word Documents' Automator action will only find and replace in the main body. This severely limits its functionality. Is there any way I can get round this?
I'm happy to use an Apple Script if this would do the job more effectively, but don't know the required code. I used to have this function working fine with macros in previous versions of Word, but I'm stumped by the new version. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
